I have been saving left over blocks from projects for years. OK..."saving" is an overstatement...that would mean I had a specific spot, a special place and purpose for all those blocks. Basically, they were everywhere.
But I gathered them one studio cleaning day and decided to finally do something for god's sake.
We have a cabin in Maine and that cabin came with an old gross itchy chair. (It's a cabin rule to have at least one. ) So I ripped off the previous attempt at re upholstery from a few years ago and set to work.
It was an afternoon of fudging and cutting, pinning and tacking and nailing.
It is not perfect. But it is done.
And it is completely unique and totally ours.
So, get creative with whatever it is you won't throw away...that you are 'saving' for 'something'.
It is solely yours: unique and special.
And don't waste your time planning. Just do.
